Having been a litigator at three different government agencies, Archith draws on his extensive experience to represent and advise a wide array of clients dealing with damaging false claims and related crises. Archith is well-versed in all aspects of district court and appellate litigation, and, having presented oral argument in the federal courts of appeals ten times, has particular expertise in handling complex statutory and constitutional issues. As an example, while working in the Securities and Exchange Commission’s appellate group, Archith was the lead attorney in a Ninth Circuit appeal involving a First Amendment challenge to the Commission’s policy governing settlement agreements. In a unanimous, published opinion, the Ninth Circuit upheld the policy.
Prior to joining Meier Watkins Phillips Pusch, and before he joined the Securities and Exchange Commission, Archith worked as an appellate attorney at the Department of Labor and handled both district court and appellate litigation in the Department of Justice’s Office of Immigration Litigation. He also served as a law clerk to the Honorable T.S. Ellis III of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia and the Honorable Dennis Jacobs of the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.
